Metkut
Metkut is ancient recipe of India. It is very tasty and Healthy food . It is very easy to digest. It increases taste of the food in which mix metkut. It increases appetite in disease conditions. We can eat with rice( i.e Metkut Bhaat).
Ingredients
– Chana Dal (Spilt Bengal gram)- 1 bowl
– Udad Dal (Spilt Black gram)- ¼ bowl
– Rice – ½ bowl
– Gehu (Wheat) – 1 tsp
– (Hing) Asafoetida – 1 tsp
– Dhaniya (Coriander seeds) – 1 tsp
– lal Mirch (Red Chili Powder )– 2 tsp
– Jira (Cumin seeds) – 1 tsp
– Haldi (Turmeric Powder) – 1 tsp
– Sarso (Mustard seeds) – 1 tsp
– Dalchini (Cinnamon ) – about 1 pinch
– Kali Mirch (Black pepper ) – ¼ tsp
– Launga (Clove) – 3-4
– Jayphal ( Nutmeg) – ½ tsp
Method
- Firstly roast all grains & dals till it get brown on low flame
- Roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves on low flame till gives nice aroma
- Mix all the given ingredients and make a fine powder
- Store within container in dry place
Use
- Metkut is generally used with ghee in Hot Rice. It gives nice smell
- We can make Raita from it
- Make toast Bread Slice
Metkut increases appetite and taste in Fever or other diseases so it can be used in such conditions.
