Ayurveda’s  Rutucharya (Seasonal Regimen)

How to live in this season ?

Name of Rutu (Season) –  Grishma ( Summer )
(May, June)

Do’s- (Recommended)

Diet –

  • Sweet, light and liquid food can be taken.
  • Rice can be taken in food.
  • Drink cold & medicated water ( vala, nagarmotha etc ).
  • Syrups prepared with Draksha, Sugarcane, Madhuka, Date, Kashmarya, Mango fruits should be taken.

Regimen –

  • Anoint body with chandan paste and take bath with cold water.
  • Stay in cool places.
  • Wear light, white dresses.

Dont’s – (Restricted)

Diet –

  • Avoid food Heavy to digest
  • Avoid sun exposure between afternoon hours
  • Wine should not be taken as it can cause burning sensation and even debility. If necessary take in very little quantity with plenty of water.

Regimen –

  • Avoid Sun exposure for longer time
  • Exposure to hot and dry wind
