Ayurveda’s Rutucharya (Seasonal Regimen)
How to live in this season ?
Name of Rutu (Season) – Grishma ( Summer )
(May, June)
Do’s- (Recommended)
Diet –
- Sweet, light and liquid food can be taken.
- Rice can be taken in food.
- Drink cold & medicated water ( vala, nagarmotha etc ).
- Syrups prepared with Draksha, Sugarcane, Madhuka, Date, Kashmarya, Mango fruits should be taken.
Regimen –
- Anoint body with chandan paste and take bath with cold water.
- Stay in cool places.
- Wear light, white dresses.
Dont’s – (Restricted)
Diet –
- Avoid food Heavy to digest
- Avoid sun exposure between afternoon hours
- Wine should not be taken as it can cause burning sensation and even debility. If necessary take in very little quantity with plenty of water.
Regimen –
- Avoid Sun exposure for longer time
- Exposure to hot and dry wind
