ALLERGIC RHINITIS

Allergic Rhinitis is an allergic inflammation of nasal airway usually associated with watery nasal discharge.

It occurs when an allergen such as dust or pollen is inhaled by an individual with a sensitized immune system and triggers antibody production.

Two types of allergic rhinitis are :

  • Seasonal
  • Perennial

SYMPTOMS:

  • Cold, running nose.
  • Sneezing repeatedly especially after getting up in morning.
  • Nose, eyes may become itchy and congested.
  • Watering of eyes.
  • Sore throat.
  • Post nasal discharge.
  • Dry cough.

CAUSES:

Body’s immune system fight against bacteria and viruses which are harmful to the body. But in allergic rhinitis immune system over respond to harmless substance like pollen and launches an assault. This attack is called  allergic rhinitis.

PREVENTION:

Preventing your exposure to allergens is best way to control symptoms.

TREATMENT

Ayurvedic Panchkarma  – Nasya, Snehan, Swedan, Vaman, Gandush Dhoompan etc as per dosha and Prakruti.

Home Remedy – You can use Ginger and Honey three times a day.
